H H Halloween

Halloween is getting closer!

My roommate, her boyfriend, and I have all been friends since high school so with this weekend being family weekend all of our families planned to meet up. We met them for breakfast at Sophia’s but the wait was too long so we went to Bob Evans. After that yummy meal we figured out to how take the least amount of cars and headed to the game. Because of how cold it was we didn’t last the whole game but it was still fun. We went our separate ways and I took my parents back to my dorm along with did a little shopping:]. After everyone met up and ate at bdubs, we had appetizers and a surprise cake her my roommate’s dad because his birthday is next weekend. After we said our goodbyes to our parents, did our thing and went out for the night. The costumes were quite interesting, definitely some good ones. I had an awesome weekend and can’t wait for actual Halloween.

Analysis Paper

We did not have class yesterday, which was weird but nice at the same time. Instead I had my meeting about my paper that went well. Class on Tuesday was beneficial because we got a jump- start on our bibliography. That gave us time to ask questions before being on our own before our meeting. While e-mail can be helpful, in- person is always better for communication reasons. Having to cite a source from Youtube was something new for me. I liked doing this because it will be good to know in the future. Learning how to do an analysis paper in general is a good skill because I’m sure it will be one of many I will have to do.

Yesterday I saw that movie with my roommate and some other friends. We went to Kalamazoo 10 by Target. It was awesome that with a student discount the ticket was $5.25. They had a cool candy machine that I’ve never seen before. Everyone really liked it and I would definitely tell people to go see it. I wouldn’t say there are any specific people that wouldn’t like this movie unless you don’t like to laugh. The movie was a comedy with good jokes but had a good plot too. Minus having to sit in one of the front rows I didn’t have any complaints about the movie. Even though it was almost two hours long time flew by.

Rain rain go away…

I was Chicago bound this weekend, went back to Orland Park my home:]. I was defintelety glad I chose this weekend to go home, it was a good break. It was a lot of fun and was great to see my mom/dad along with my friends that were home for fall break or stayed at community college. I went shopping, went out to breakfast, and got manicures/pedicures! While that was nice bonding time so was the comfort of just being at home with my family <3. I also got my hair done and saw Trouble with a Curve with my friends. The movie was really good and definitely worth going to see. The movie I watched at my house was a different story. The movie is called The Loved Ones and while it wasn’t bad it wasn’t what I expected because it was supposed to be scary but wound up being more weird instead.

Pre paper activity

The activity we did in class today took awhile but I think it was beneficial. Carrie was a very weird movie so I thought it was interesting to hear other peoples’ views and see their side on who was the most monstrous character. Knowing this activity helped us for our next paper made me glad. Doing this made me think about what I want to write my analysis paper on. Since the paper has to do with finding research of people to be on your side, I think seeing the criticism we got back from Mickey when presenting was good.
