In class on Thursday we talked about our reading- My Illiteracy
Narrative. I found this article necessary to discuss because of our upcoming
assignment. I thought it was necessary because people need to see how
miscommunication happens between people in different ways. This
miscommunication was interesting to me since it is not the type of lifestyle
most middle class Americans are used to. The class discussion made me think
deeper into the story while wanting to know more about her life. I think the
point of reading this was to get us prepared for our upcoming writing
assignment, which should be fun but difficult to write about.
